Applications
301 is an austenitic stainless, widely used for the manufacture of small springs, without the need for heat treatment. suitable for stainless feeler gauge stock, precision foils, stainless springs and parts of higher strength.

Owing to its chemical Composition 1.4310 is non magnetic in its soft condition. However, the cold working necessary to produce the finished material results in a structural transformation, producing magnetisable constituents. Spring-hard strip from such alloys can, therefore, be expected to be attracted by a magnet.
